Mental Health Champions
What is Mental Health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. It affects all aspects of a child’s development. Building emotional resilience is the key and we believe with good mental health, children and young people do better in every way. Then they enjoy their childhood, they are able to deal with stress and difficult times, are able to learn better, do better at school and enjoy friendships and new experiences.
Mrs McDade and Mrs McCullagh are trained Mental Health Champions and Mental Health First Aiders and work with any children who may be struggling at any time.
Please pop in and see them if you are concerned about your child.
